Faith at Work (Wood Lot Ministry)

Faith at Work is a result of the vision of the leadership and volunteers of Faith and Action and is a part of our post-prison mentoring ministry.  Faith at Work is a for-profit that processes firewood, employing Faith and Action staff and volunteers as well as ex-offenders and others who are financially struggling.  While Faith at Work sells firewood for a profit, its ultimate goals are to supply a mentoring atmosphere and to provide transitional employment, along with life skills, to those individuals needing a second chance.  As part of our mentoring program, we hold weekly Bible Study, daily devotions, and weekly supporting meetings.

Faith at Work also provides a safe space for volunteers age 13 and older to give back to their community, earn service hours, or fulfill community service time.  Come see what Faith at Work is all about by joining us any first Saturday of the month to cut, split, or wrap wood.  No heavy lifting required.  Can’t make a Saturday?  Volunteers are also needed during the week. Contact us at faithatwork.info@gmail.com for more information.
